"Healthy Practice, Healthy Doctors" - Rural Practice Managers Webinar

Jun14
On-line - Webinar via Go To Meeting

Rural practice managers are invited to participate in one of two webinars offered by Doctors' Health SA.

Rural communities need access to a highly dedicated team of the medical and allied health professionals in their towns.

When patients come to see their doctor, they expect to see someone who is well. The unwell doctor is less able to deliver the time, talent, trust and TLC that patients expect and the disappointment that ensues can trigger a complaint. Unhealthy workplaces can be one such trigger of illness and distress and Practice Managers must be able to optimise the working environment whilst recognising and managing an unwell staff member and any adverse impact on productivity, patient care and team morale.

The webinar is being offered twice on Thursday 14th June, 7.45am or 12noon.

Each one is 45mins long and includes question time along with additional resources which will be emailed to each registered participant (you only need to attend ONE session).

The webinar will assist Practice Managers to:

  • Gain strategies on creating a healthy workplace in clinical settings;
  • Increase their understanding of recognising and managing an unwell doctor;
  • Raise awareness of the Doctors’ Health SA program activities and services and provide guidance on how and where doctors can go for assistance.

The presenters are Dr Roger Sexton, Medical Director and Ms Kiara Cannizzaro, Program Officer from Doctors' Health SA.
